ROGERS, ARK. — A record number of scholars showed their pride for Haas Hall during the 2024 homecoming spirit week. This year’s themes were Twin Day, Western Day, Barbenhiemer, the 90s, and Blue and White Out Day.
Scholars and faculty were interviewed on each theme day. [Who’s your favorite twin?] “I would say, Kara Sperry and Addyson Johnson,” said junior Viktoria Buckman and senior Heydi Medina. Sperry and Johnson were twinning with Sesame Street shirts. “Oh, Tristan Banks and Hadley Clark, for sure!” freshman Tanner Chism and junior Hannahbeth Rusch agreed. Banks and Clark were twinning with printed pajama pants and black shirts.
On Western Day, [What do you think is a crucial accessory for Western Day?] Senior Genesis Trevino answered, “A belt and hoop earrings.” Chism said, “Blue jeans and a cowgirl hat are must-haves.”
On Barbenhiemer Day, [What movie do you prefer to watch, Barbie or Oppenheimer?] “Senior Hayden Whittmer answered in an Allen costume from the Barbie movie, “Barbie, for sure!”
On 90’s Day, [What was your favorite thing about the 90’s?] Claire Glover, Haas Hall Rogers lead teacher, said, “The music.” Medina answered, “Probably the toys, the trinkets.”
Overall, scholar participation in the 2024 Spirit Week was higher than in previous years, making the campus more lively and fun in an educational environment. This preceded the great turnout at the Winter Formal dance, the Snow Ball.
