It’s Time to Glow at Junior Prom

By Riley Olson

ROGERS, ARK–On April 12th, the Junior Prom will take place. ‘Here we Glow’ is the theme for this year. There will be glow-in-the-dark accessories, music, and lots of dancing.

Prom Committee member Grayson Clark, a freshman, said, “It will be exciting for everyone. We’ll have really good parties, and I think everybody will be able to dance together in one group.” Scholars from all campuses are welcome. The prom will be at the Rogers Metroplex, so there will be plenty of room for many scholars to attend.

Prom Committee Advisor Amy Schwartz said, “I think this is a good time to hang out with friends outside of the school day; I’m looking forward to the theme this year.”

A 360-degree photo booth (at a cost of ten dollars for up to four people) and a photo backdrop for selfies (at no cost) will be there to help capture memories. A menu, which contains pre-packaged food, will be put out for those who want to grab something to snack on.

The theme of this year’s prom will be an experience that students will never forget. This will be a great way to end the school year. “Lasers and the nightlife, like a rave almost, but less wild,” Clark said.

Clark announced, “It will be a little more geared towards the younger crowd.” Keep in mind that this is specifically for 7th-9th graders.

Tickets will be sold online, from March 11th to April 12th, for $25. T-shirts will be sold at the same price until March 25th.

As for music, there will be a DJ and a request system. Clark stated, “I imagine it will be similar to last year with a lot of the hits from right now playing. I’m hoping [for] Feen, that’s a personal hope of mine.”

For the Junior Prom, only 7-9th graders currently enrolled at Haas Hall Academy can attend.
