New initiative connects class of 2026 with community members through personalized
By Siobhán Love
With administrative approval, Haas Hall Academy Rogers is officially launching the Champion-a-Senior program to celebrate the class of 2026 while strengthening connections within the Rogers community.
The program will function through a structured, parent-guided system designed to protect scholar privacy. Seniors will complete a Google Form with questions such as future plans, hobbies, favorite snacks, and school activities. Approved profiles will be posted in a private Facebook group, where parents can include the details filled out in the Form. Community members may communicate with parents to “claim” a senior and coordinate gift and delivery details.
Participation is voluntary, and organizers emphasize that gifts are meant to be meaningful rather than extravagant. Suggested items include gas or coffee gift cards, small care packages, handwritten notes, or items connected to a scholar’s post-graduation plans. Posts will be updated once a senior has been adopted to ensure visibility for scholars still awaiting sponsors.
Recruitment efforts extend beyond current Haas Hall families. Local businesses, churches, and community groups in Rogers are being invited to participate in sponsorship. Senior submissions will close by a predetermined date to allow time for matching before graduation and final deliveries taking place before the end of the school year.
